Summer Sun Somethings Begun...

Not sure how to recap all the fun we have been having these past few weeks, doesn't mean I won't attempt to in a picture montage to follow! The beautiful, almost bizarrely sunny & warm weather, has given us day after day of fun in the sun. I am proud to say Haley doesn't have a tan, so my morning ritual of slathering on the sunscreen has been successful. We have totally gotten into a lazy summer routine. Haley has even started sleeping in (on occasion) until 7 a.m.  It's going to be a rude awakening when school starts again. Jalen is really growing fast. He's not crawling yet, but he's rolling around like crazy! He has his 6 month check up on Aug. 13th and it's crazy that he is already that old! I feel like his "infant" months went so much faster than Haley but I suppose with her we had some bonus months ;)


Our travels this summer have included trips to family in Syracuse and Canton and to Sacandaga Lake last week (near Saratoga) to see friends. We also have our playground dates a few times a week with our Northside friends. We have been avid playground explorers, daily walkers, and occasional beach bums.


We plan to slow down a bit in August and suck up every last day together. Mike's sister Leanne will be getting married in a few weeks, so we will be taking an adventure to Long Island. With Haley being 1 of the 3 flower girls and Jalen the ring bearer it is sure to be just that!

and she's THREE!!

It is so cliche but they grow up fast is so true. I can barely believe that our little miracle is turning 3 years old tomorrow. Since we are heading off for an "adventure" at Darien Lake to celebrate I wanted to be sure to get a post out tonight. 

Haley is so excited to be "free" a.k.a. 3 "just like her cousins". Earlier this week, knowing she would be having a birthday, the binky fairy came and took all of her binky's. She has done surprisingly well without (she was only using it at night/naps) it and despite a few rough moments, no major meltdowns and she hasn't asked for it once!

Jalen is our little smily guy. He went to his four month appointment this week and continues to tip the scales at the 3rd % (11 lbs. 4 oz). The doc seems okay with that and as long as he keeps sleeping/eating she didn't think it was necessary to supplement. She did encourage starting him on solids. So this weekend will be his first rice cereal meal. He meeting milestones and has good strength and tone, small and mighty!

We will have a family POOL party in Syracuse on Sunday to celebrate Haley's birthday and Father's Day. Happy Day to all you DAD's/Grandad's/Father figures out there!! Specifically one of the best, My Dad. xoxo

Happy Memorial Day!!

 Back from our trip up North we had a lovely Memorial Day. Thanks to all of our friends & family who have served our country.

Let me start by saying Happy Mother's Day! There are so many amazing "mother's" in our lives, we feel so blessed to have so many caring women caring for our children. I had a fabulous day and I was spoiled all day long...I can truly say I am the happiest I have been in my life. I go to sleep each night thinking I couldn't be happier then we have another amazing day and I realize that is not true. Although having Haley made our life richer, having and watching our son and daughter leaves me feeling fulfilled and our family complete :)
Both of the kids are doing great and teaching us so much. We took a road trip to Saratoga last week to visit friends and Haley had fun playing with Jack, Lily and Lexi. It was so much fun for Mommy too, since she got to hang with a good friend from LeMoyne! Monday night we hit up the Lilic Festival and although the lilacs were past peak we still enjoyed the evening. Haley is finally big enough to go on the kiddy rides- by herself!- and after a tentative start she went on all of them. Jalen is a smily boy these days. We are off to the North Country for some time next week...
