18 Month Check Up!

Haley had her 18 mth. check up today. We were happy to see she has grown (mostly in height) since her last appointment 3 months ago and she is now tipping the scales at 20 lbs. 6 oz.  She doesn't have another scheduled appt. until she turns 2!! We feel so blessed to have such a happy and healthy little girl.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

She still hasn't had a hair cut and she has quite the mullet these days :)

At the Tree Farm!

Haley didn't seem to mind having company in the back seat!
After several weekends of traveling, we are looking forward to staying put for the next few weeks!  Haley has been battling the a lingering sinus infection that has turned into a nasty cough, which has meant several sleepless nights for us. Last weekend, we took Haley to the tree farm and cut down our Christmas tree. After we put it up we spent time constructing a baby gate around it and she seems to care less that it is ever there... She is busy walking all over the place and is really starting to communicate. This weekend we got our first real snowfall and we can't wait to see her explore in the snow. We hope everyone enjoys the upcoming Holiday Season!!

Halloween Fun!!

We spent the last weekend in October traveling.  Saturday was "Papa B's" 70th Birthday. We went to a family birthday party and Haley got to see her cousins, whom she hasn't seen in several weeks since they moved back north.

Here are a few pics from that night...

Haley's favorite game!

october

So far, despite some rainy days, we have been able to enjoy the beginning of fall. Columbus weekend was absolutely beautiful!  Grandpa and Grandma visited for the long weekend. Grandpa went on Fri. night to his old stomping ground to watch Caledonia vs LeRoy football game with his brother Don and Mike. On Saturday, I ran the Scarecrow 5K and finished 7th in my age class respectively with a time of 26:31.  My parents, Haley and Mikey were there to greet me at the finish line.
Haley has been working hard learning to walk independently. She is getting close and we know in no time she will be running circles around the house.

PUMPKIN PATCH

We took a trip to POWERS farm and visited the pumpkin patch, the animals and took a hayride. Haley hasn't been feeling well so it was a good way to end our otherwise quiet and sleepy weekend.

Kicking off Fall

Last weekend we spent the weekend in Syracuse celebrating (a belated) 35th Wedding Anniversary for Mike's parents.  Mike's brother and sister came, we got babysitters and spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon doing wine tour on the Finger Lakes.  It was a fun weekend.

We also checked out a Liverpool football game. They haven't played a home game in 2 years as they were building their new stadium. Mike had fun reminiscing about his "younger" years.  Haley had fun looking at all the people although she did not enjoy sitting in the crowd so we hung out by the fence on the track.

This Thursday marked the beginning of fall, (Daddy couldn't be happier as it is his favorite season) and we are looking forward to taking Haley to pick out her pumpkins in the very near future!

Back to School!

Haley and Mommy have gone "back to school".  Haley is going back to her daycare sitter (which she is quite happy about) and Sara has gone back to teaching (which she has mixed feelings about).  Regardless, we spent our last summer weekend spending time with family (Haley stayed in Syracuse for a weekend with Grandma and Grampa J.) and we went to Portsmouth, NH for wedding of a good friends.

We are happy we have the first week behind us and are looking forward to spending a quiet weekend at home.

Good friends, John and Lisa, congrats on their marriage!

On Haley's "gestational birthday" we celebrated her turning 1 with cupcake ice- cream, she LOVED it!!

Welcome to our new blog!

Since we are starting our new blog, we thought it would be a good time to re-cap our summer adventures!  We have had a very busy summer and with Sara being at home we tried to make the most of each summer day. We kicked it off traveling to Baltimore to visit friends, Callie (also a former preemie), her parents and our good friends, Marci and Lee. Soon after we celebrated Haley's 1st birthday and had a small family party at home. In the following weeks, we made several trips to Canton and Syracuse to visit family. Haley took swim lessons and graduated as a "water baby" and she seems to really love being in the pool (big or small). Haley spent some quality time in her stroller taking daily walks, or two or three. In August, we made a trip to Burlington to visit Sara's best friend Alison and her husband Brad and stopped in Saratoga Springs on the way home to visit the Collier family. No summer would be complete without a trip to the New York State Fair, and like most people Haley ate her way through it too! Whether spending time at home, or on the road it was a summer to remember!
